Comparison
Compare AquaTop TH-C titanium aquarium heater sizes
AquaTop’s Titanium Heaters family page shows six TH-C sizes with a separate controller: TH-C100, TH-C200, TH-C300, TH-C400, TH-C500 and TH-C800. The same family page separately shows TTH-1000, TTH-1500 and an 800 W first-generation heater/controller listing. Those are not the same products as the six TH-C SKUs below. This bounded comparison covers the six individually researched TH-C entries; it is not a claim about every heater AquaTop has ever made or every retailer offer.
Six exact TH-C model sizes
| Exact model | Power | Manufacturer maximum | Exact-page body dimensions | Model assessment |

| TH-C800 | 800 W | 270 US gal | 2 × 5.25 × 19.25 in (L × W × H; exact page labels) | Review TH-C800 · check the finder’s 265-gal upper input under the same conditions |
Each finder link holds freshwater, in-tank placement, adjustable control and 78°F constant while changing volume to the model’s stated maximum where the form allows it. The resulting list can include other heaters and does not uniquely select the TH-C model. The public questionnaire accepts 1–265 gallons, so its TH-C800 scenario stops at 265 even though AquaTop lists a 270-gallon maximum. It cannot screen the final five gallons of that manufacturer figure. A published ceiling is a catalogue filter, not a guarantee of heating speed or target temperature in a particular room.
Shared published features—and important omissions
All six exact product pages identify their own TH-C SKU and wattage, call the unit fully submersible, describe titanium construction, list a separate temperature probe and readable controller indicator, state freshwater/saltwater suitability, and give 110–120 V / 60 Hz supply and an adjustable 68–92°F range. The range is specific: 68°F and 92°F are the stated endpoints; 67°F and 93°F fall outside it. These exact pages do not give a numeric thermostat-accuracy tolerance or say whether the displayed indicator reports actual aquarium water or the chosen setpoint. Use an independent thermometer.
None of the pages reviewed documents an inline external-filter arrangement, a shatterproof-body rating, an impact rating, an included guard, a minimum aquarium volume or a numerical safe-temperature tolerance. The products should not pass a hard shatterproof requirement by inference from their titanium construction. An external controller does not mean that the heater belongs in an external filter’s plumbing; the maker describes these units as fully submersible, in-tank devices.
Manual cross-check and dimensions
The linked two-page TH-C manual table lists the 100, 200, 300, 400 and 500 W configurations, with 35/55/100/125/150-gallon maxima, 110–120 V / 60 Hz input and heights of 6.3/10.2/11.4/13.8/15 inches. The exact product pages for the first three list 6.5/10.25/11.5 inches instead; the small differences are retained rather than hidden. The manufacturer support article names TH-C800 as covered by the manual, but the PDF table itself omits an 800 W row. Do not transfer one of the shorter models’ manual measurements or details to TH-C800. Its exact product page gives the unusual 2 × 5.25 × 19.25-inch L × W × H labels, which are reproduced as printed.
Compare actual body and probe fit against the specific tank’s depth and mounting route. Listed body height is not extra operating clearance, a waterline instruction or a minimum space around decor. The inspected manual PDF does not provide detailed setup prose; use the instructions included with the exact unit and verify the supplied nameplate. No family-wide safety behavior is inferred from a static product photograph.

How water, size, control and placement change the candidate set
35-gallon freshwater, adjustable in-tank choice: TH-C100's 35-gallon manufacturer ceiling includes this volume, and its page documents the requested 78°F setting interval and submersible placement. That upper limit is a screen, not a minimum-volume or heating-performance guarantee. Open the finder with these exact choices; see the TH-C100 assessment.
One gallon above that boundary: At 36 gallons, the TH-C100 no longer passes its 35-gallon ceiling; the separately rated TH-C200 and larger sizes remain candidates for the same freshwater/in-tank/adjustable/78°F conditions. No minimum tank volume is published for these heaters. Open the finder with these exact choices; compare TH-C100 and TH-C200.
Marine water at TH-C200's upper boundary: Saltwater suitability is stated on the exact pages, and TH-C200 remains within its 55-gallon ceiling at 55 gallons and its 92°F control endpoint. TH-C100's smaller 35-gallon maximum excludes it from that volume. Open the finder with these exact choices; review TH-C200.
External-filter placement is a different product requirement: AquaTop describes the TH-C models as fully submersible units for inside the aquarium; a separate controller is not an inline arrangement. At the same saltwater/35-gallon/adjustable/78°F request, only the reviewed compatible OASE HeatUp/filter plans remain in this catalogue. Open the finder with these exact choices; see the separate HeatUp 150 assessment for its documented installation context.
Fixed preset and shatterproof are not synonyms for adjustable control: At three freshwater gallons, in-tank, with a 77°F selection and a shatterproof requirement, the Fluval P10/P25/P50 preset models match their documented 76–78°F range and polymer-body claim; every TH-C is adjustable rather than preset and has no shatterproof-body claim. Open the finder with these exact choices; compare P10, P25 and P50.
No-match explanation: No reviewed current matcher model documents an adjustable 78°F setting and a shatterproof body simultaneously for this 3-gallon in-tank query; adjustable TH-C heaters have no shatterproof-body claim, Fluval P models are fixed-preset, and Aqueon Flat sources do not document adjustable control. This is a gap in this reviewed library, not proof that no such product exists elsewhere. Open the finder with these exact choices.
At 265 gallons with freshwater and adjustable control selected, TH-C800 is the only current reviewed match; the other TH-C maxima and both EHEIM e300 ceilings are lower. This is the public form's maximum, not the manufacturer's full 270-gallon ceiling. Open the finder with these exact choices; inspect the TH-C800 review.
At 265 gallons with saltwater and adjustable control selected, TH-C800 is the only current reviewed match; the other TH-C maxima and both EHEIM e300 ceilings are lower. AquaTop's saltwater claim is documented for the exact TH-C800 page, but the finder cannot test its 270-gallon endpoint. Open the finder with these exact choices; inspect the TH-C800 review.
