A useful fit for

A model-specific 100 W, 10-inch fully submersible in-tank heater, documented for freshwater and saltwater with a 68–93°F adjustable dial and an official 20–30 US gallon band. It is retained for research comparison, not an active shortlist result.

The main tradeoff

AquaTop's positive lower band edge cannot be enforced by the current maximum-only volume matcher, so this reference is intentionally not recommended by the finder. The pictured exact-package ceiling is conservative where it conflicts with the manual/cutsheet. Quartz is only called shatter-resistant; no shatterproof claim or numeric control-accuracy tolerance is established. Verify exact package, placement and water temperature.

Your needs, this model

Does it fit your priorities?

What are the QPH-100's exact size identifiers and capacity evidence?

QPH-100 is a distinct 100 W, 10-inch QPH configuration with UPC 810281019048. AquaTop's manual/cutsheet state a 20–30-gallon tank band, but the exact listing photo's carton says 25 gallons maximum. Until the package discrepancy is clarified, this assessment uses 25 gallons as the conservative visible ceiling and retains the manufacturer 20–30 band as a source statement; neither lower value is treated as an independently validated minimum.

Can QPH-100 be adjusted to 68°F or 93°F?

AquaTop's family cutsheet says the QPH adjustable range is 68–93°F, inclusive. The manual describes a top-mounted analog dial and an indicator lamp; no numerical accuracy tolerance or measured-water display is stated. That only describes settings, not suitable fish or coral husbandry. Use species-specific care information and check actual water temperature with a separate thermometer.

Why is the QPH-100 not an active volume-finder result?

The QPH manual gives a 20-gallon lower band and a 30-gallon upper band; the pictured exact carton is more conservative at 25 gallons maximum. This site's volume rule can test only whether a documented maximum covers a volume, not enforce a positive lower band. Matching the model at a smaller tank would imply unsupported suitability, so it remains a reviewed reference and not an active buying recommendation. Check the exact SKU and carton before interpreting the conflicting rating.

The AquaTop QPH-100 is a 100 W Quartz Platinum heater with a 10-inch listed body and UPC 810281019048. Its model-specific sizing evidence is unusually important: AquaTop’s manual and cutsheet state a 20–30 US gallon band, while the exact QPH-100 carton visible in the listing photo says “25 gal. max.” This review preserves both claims and uses 25 gallons as a cautious comparison ceiling rather than silently choosing the larger number. It is research-based, not a test of heating performance.

Read the 20–30 band alongside the package

The manufacturer’s family table places QPH-100 above QPH-50 and below QPH-200: 100 W and 10 inches, with a stated 20–30 gallon range. The pictured QPH-100 package repeats the model and wattage but shows a lower 25-gallon maximum. The public manual and cutsheet do not explain this difference. A careful buyer near 25–30 gallons should not assume the higher number wins just because it appears in a manual; check the current package, exact SKU and any updated AquaTop instructions.

The published lower edge is also meaningful. “20 to 30 gallons” is not simply the same as “up to 30 gallons,” yet the unchanged finder checks only an upper tank-volume ceiling. If QPH-100 were an active match, it could appear for unsupported below-band aquarium sizes. For that reason, this exact model remains a reviewed reference, not a finder recommendation or central purchase page. Neither 20 nor 25 is presented here as a universal minimum-safe-volume rule.

Adjustable range without a quantified accuracy promise

AquaTop describes an adjustable top-mounted analog thermostat, a heating indicator and automatic shutoff at the target. The family cutsheet gives the setting span as 68–93°F. The manual explains that the indicator glows during heating and goes out when the desired setting is reached. No numerical thermostat-accuracy tolerance is supplied, and the lamp does not amount to a numeric water-temperature display. Choose a biologically appropriate target independently and verify water temperature with a separate thermometer away from the heater.

The manufacturer also warns that the room-to-target difference can affect the wattage needed: its manual says a room 10°F or more below the selected setting may require a higher-wattage heater. That is a reason to assess the whole setup, not to jump to a larger model based on tank volume alone.

Installation is in the aquarium, not in filter plumbing

The manual supports full submersion in fresh or salt water and permits vertical or horizontal mounting with suction cups. It says to keep the water above the heater’s minimum line, use a location with good water flow and create a drip loop. The manual’s acclimation, power-up and cool-down waits should be followed for this model. The reviewed QPH documentation does not describe an external-filter inline arrangement, so the submersible design is not a substitute for a canister-line heater.

The 10-inch model height is a clearance consideration, not a complete installation envelope. Allow room for the top dial, cord bend, waterline, suction cups and any maintenance movement. Confirm the exact physical version and instructions before installation.

What the QPH-100 label establishes—and what it does not

The inspected 1946-pixel product photo shows the QPH-100 name and 100 W marking on the heater body, plus AC 110–120 V / 50–60 Hz. The package’s 25-gallon claim is also legible. These observations identify the pictured configuration and explain the conservative capacity decision; they do not establish measured heating time, thermostat accuracy, service life or warranty eligibility. The brand’s “shatter-resistant quartz” wording is not equivalent to a shatterproof-body claim. The reviewed sources do not establish a separate protective cage.

Its role beside QPH-50 and QPH-200

QPH-50 is the 50 W, 9-inch model with a 10–15 gallon band; QPH-200 is 200 W and 13 inches, officially listed for 40–60 gallons. Those siblings have different size bands, lengths and package evidence, so a QPH family name does not make their limits interchangeable. QPH-100’s 100 W output and 10-inch body are distinct configuration facts, not a recommendation for any particular livestock or room condition.

Current model-specific lifecycle evidence is incomplete: the saved exact-page observation is preserved, but the exact route did not reopen in this cycle. That access failure does not mean QPH-100 is discontinued. Confirm model code, UPC, package capacity, physical electrical label and current written warranty terms with the seller before treating a listing as the same configuration.
